Winter with a hint of salmonella….

Hmmm, great…curse you winter!

Yesterday, a raging head cold reared it’s head…which now has made me miss not only another Friday night at Centralino with my first love, Maurizio, but also today, an invitation to come over to Michele’s house. I now feel well enough to go to Michele’s, but, I definitely do NOT want a repeat of the vengeful biological attack upon me. For all I know, I might wake up having poured snot all over the headboard like the pea soup from the Exorcist. These Italian bugs do not mess around.

So, I spent most of today sleeping and downloading movies to watch in bed. Now I must decide “to make or not to make ‘Spaghetti alla Carbonara‘: comfort food, heart attack in a bowl, or kitchen disaster second only to judgement day?” Time will tell…
